React Job: Intermediate RoR Developer

Quantifi Inc is a Canadian fintech company that owns and operates Quantifi Lending and Credit App.

Quantifi Lending is a national bank alternative automotive lender. We are proud to be the preferred lender for thousands of dealerships for new Canadians and first time borrowers. To date, Quantifi Lending has deployed over $100 million.

As Quantifi Lending’s on-balance sheet loan portfolio grew, the decision was made to build a proprietary dealer portal to enable differentiation in a crowded and competitive lender market. The dealer portal enabled Quantifi Lending to offer more competitive terms for thin credit applicants. The demand for Quantifi Lending’s software continued to grow over the years and today the dealer portal is operational in thousands of dealerships across Canada.

Through insights and feedback gained operating the proprietary dealer portal, Credit App was incorporated as a stand alone entity in April 2022 to create a multi-lender portal, not tied to Quantifi Lending’s lending operations. It offers modern infrastructure to over 4,000 dealerships as well as Bank and Bank Alternative automotive lenders.

Position Summary

We are looking for an intermediate full-stack Ruby on Rails developer to join the team as an individual contributor with a willingness to share best practices and mentor other developers.

This role requires a self-starter who can dive into the code and build new features to meet business goals. The RoR Developer is accountable for maintaining, improving, and building on our lending software.

You have a proven track record of:

• Ruby on Rails software development, including Javascript and React
• Working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• Containerized applications (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes)
• Deploying applications through CI/CD systems (e.g. GitHub Actions)
• Working in AWS or other cloud-based infrastructure
• Desire to broaden your skill set and work in many languages and frameworks
• Focusing on the delivery of business value through stakeholder engagement

Experience that’s helpful:

• Full-stack software development in Python, Node.js, Typescript, and React
• Working with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Cloud66
• Exposure to CQRS, Event Sourcing, and Event Modeling
• Deploying with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform, Helm charts
